Well over the years of owning Yamaha Road Star motorcycle I have always bought the cheapest motorcycle accessories to save some money and think these products would do the job that was required?

The problem, which I would have with this mentality, is that over time these cheap quality add-ons would not hold up well over a short time. If you’re like me, the equipment must do its job at hand. I never thought that my cheap quality motorcycle saddlebag could be the problem.

Over the years of I have tried several similar products like Saddlemen Saddlebags. When buying these cheap quality motorcycle bags I would experience on long road trips always from home of course. The zipper and velcro will rip apart, the saddlebag would leak through the seams when traveling in rain or washing the bike with water. Then after the saddlebag dries the color would not match, or it fades to a lighter black looking like they are over 10 years old.

Some of the other problems that I have had these motorcycle bags would be sold as universal fits most bikes. Oh yeah, it won’t fit you motorcycle like they said, meaning it is not a universal fitting saddlebag.

Some of the brands that I have used in the past that did fit were the Moto gear Motorcycle Saddle Bags these are advertised as universal fitting saddlebag but when I tried then on my Road Star they would drag on the fenders wells and sloppy fitting. This brand the Buffalo Leather Saddlebag Luggage the black ink faded all over my clothes that were in the Saddlebag. Both of these product are cheap quality motorcycle bags and so is the price.

Slowly over the years of owning these other brands I became skeptical of all products and didn’t want to waste any more money.
